I have gained my one-and-a-half-year working experience at Tier 1 automotive suppliers. Discovering the industry from this point of view was crucial for the understanding of processes and industry standards.

PRODUCT ENGINEER [Intern]
[Châteauroux - Summer 2018 - 3 month]
The GMD Group specialised in product development and production subcontracting employs around 4500 people generating a turnover of 799 M€ in 2017. I worked for Eurostyle Systems, which is the "Plastics Systems Branch" of the industrial group. The plasturgy section Eurostyle Systems is industry-wide known for high quality car interiour and exteriour trims (like door panels, bumpers, consoles, etc.) as well as technical parts (front light brackets, bumper brackets, etc.) made out of a vast material portfolio. At the engineering headquarter in Châteauroux (France) product development projects are conducted or managed for the international market.
In the course of my During this 3-month internship, I treated engineering change requests coming from the OEM or internal production sites. In the function of a Product Engineer, I focused on the technical point of view capturing the customer need and proposing a specific solution to their problem.
Part of my work was to :

- Create & Modify CAD models using CATIA V5/R24

- Fabricate (functional) prototypes

- Rapid Prototyping by 3D-Printing

- Interpret results of Moldflow Simulations (FEM)

- Carry out the dimensional part verification plan

PRODUCTION ENGINEER [full-time]
[Limoges - Summer 2017 - 3 month]
As a pursuit of my bachelor thesis, I have been employed in order to support the industrialisation team to :
- Verify condition of cutting dies
- Definition of bill of materials & production process routing
- Analysis of technical part drawings
BACHELOR THESIS [full-time]
[Limoges - 2016/2017 - 5 month]
I developed a new production concept for a small series aftermarket production.

PROJECT ENGINEER [Intern]
[Limoges - 2015/2016 - 7 month]
As a part of the project management team, I was coordinating the production transfer from ElringKlinger Abschirmtechnik AG (Sevelen, Switzerland) to the ElringKlinger Meillor SAS (Limoges, France). In the course of this internship, I had the occasion to travel regularly to Switzerland in order to prepare the equipment transfer to France organising the shipping in cooperation with the local production management. Furthermore, I developed my technical vocabulary in English and French, because the majority of the communication between the international colleagues passed by me. Towards the end of the internship, I was in charge of the creation of the product specification and supplier consultation for a special machine.
